Our Mission

Our mission is to connect people of all various backgrounds with authentic Orthodox Christian worship, teaching and preaching, in order to connect people together in genuine Christian love and compassion for the consistent growth of the parish.

Our Core Values

We are a community of Orthodox Christian believers who want to:

Faith

  • witness Christ by living out the Orthodox faith by participating in the Holy Sacraments with piety and reverence (Acts 2:42)
  • practice the Orthodox faith through observing the prayers, fasting and traditions of the Church (2 Thessalonians 2:15)
  • uphold the Word of God, the Bible, as our guide and greatest resource handed down by the Church
  • read the lives of the Holy Fathers and Saints to become better Orthodox Christians

fellowship

  • treat everyone that walks into our church with love and respect (John 13:34) (Colossians 3:11)
  • see everyone with a non-judgmental attitude and accept them for who they are in Christ  (Matthew 7:1)
  • resolve conflict or disagreements in humility and love, seeking for the unity of the church (Matthew 5:9)
  • use words with a tone-of-voice that is non-offensive and compassionate when talking to others in the church (Proverbs 15:1) (Leviticus 19:18)
  • demonstrate to our children and youth true Christian character and values so that they grow up to become productive God-fearing Orthodox people in society (Proverbs 22:6)
  • help each other through life problems and live life together as much as possible (Galatians 6:2)

witness

  • help the poor and needy in our community by engaging in charity and outreach ministries (Matthew 25:35)
  • provide resources to those who are suffering with addictions, dealing with marital concerns, and encountering difficulties in life (Galatians 6:1)
  • invite people that we know to our church to experience Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior in the fullness of the faith, the Orthodox Church (Acts 10:34)
  • provide resources to anyone who wants to become an Orthodox Christian

But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
— LUKE 6:27-31
