The Waiting Period

GOSPEL MESSAGE & RECORDING

When we hear Christ says that if we ask, knock and seek, we will receive, the door will be open and we will find him, our worries seem to go away quickly because we know that God will answer. Reality is that does not happen exactly in that way all the time. In most cases, God DOES answer but NOT quickly. There is a waiting period.

It’s the waiting period that is the most difficult. We want God to answer quickly and in the manner that we want.

The waiting period has a rhythm and reason which God only knows. We will only know in due time—at the right time—the plan that God has in store.

The reason why there is a waiting period (in most cases) is because there is a lesson to be learned. Virtue, values, discipline, love, compassion are never immediate, they are in fact acquired over time. During the waiting period, as you ask, knock and seek, God will direct your life, in want is necessary, unnecessary and what should be changed.
